The hand-washing stations have been officially handed over to the 3 hospitals today, a project that saw it’s completion in late March. The facilities are distributed in various areas of the Muhimbili National Hospital, Muhimbili orthopedic Institute (MOI) and Jakaya Kikwete Heart Institute (JKCI).
As we all know, washing hands with soap and running water is an effective way to prevent the spread of corona virus. These facilities are integrated into the hospital’s water system so they are sure to provide clean water on a regular basis making it a long lasting sustainable project.
The construction of these facilities serves as a pilot project where as a foundation we aim to construct other WASH facilities through hospitals such as Mloganzila, Mwananyamala, Temeke and Amana.
The foundation thanks the leadership of all three hospitals and their staff for a positively receiving the project and for their dedication in providing quality services despite challenging environments faced from Covid-19.
